Phang Kuang Wei had always been driven by a relentless pursuit of knowledge. From his earliest days, he exhibited an insatiable curiosity and an unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the world. It was no surprise to anyone who knew him when he embarked on his educational journey, one that would lead his to the forefront of sustainable finance.

Kuang Wei's academic odyssey began at the prestigious Technical University of Munich (TUM) via the Singapore Institute of Technology, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering. His thesis, focusing on sustainability indices in process engineering, showcased his early interest in combining engineering principles, finance, and sustainability. Not content with just academics, he had also taken up leadership roles, serving as the President of the SIT-TUM Student Management Committee, where he demonstrated his ability to bring about positive change. He later went on to pursue a Master of Science in Sustainable and Green Finance with the National University of Singapore's Business School. His passion for sustainability had led dove headfirst into the program. It wasn't long before his dedication began to bear fruit. In 2023, he became a finalist for the SGFIN-FIDELITY Sustainable Finance Case Competition, where he showcased his prowess in the field by analyzing the potential of Solar PV investments. He later went on to undertake research project with the Bank of Singapore. He developed a comprehensive analysis of APAC Sustainable investments as product offering for clients which includes but not limited to global trend ESG research, gap analysis, risk management and portfolio allocation that resulted in the successful completion within 3 months and subsequent engagement with the bank.

Kuang Wei's journey was not confined to the classroom. He ventured into the corporate world, starting with his role as a biotechnologist with Tychan Pte Ltd, a clinical trial manufacturer. He was part of the start-up team for a multimillion-dollar manufacturing plant. His efforts to streamline manufacturing processes and implement sustainable supply chain practices earned his accolades within the company and was instrumental in achieving two successful engineering runs for the facility in record time. His next challenge was GDMC Pte Ltd, a CDMO manufacturer. As a project specialist, he played a pivotal role in co-managing the multi-million project to build a cutting-edge manufacturing plant, ensuring it adhered to sustainable principles. His keen eye for energy-efficient technologies helped reduce the plant's carbon footprint without exceeding the budget.

His commitment to making a difference wasn't confined to the corporate world. He gave back to the community as a Student Ambassador at the National University of Singapore and through his involvement in various initiatives. He also server as a SITizen Ambassador with the Singapore Institute of Technology where he collaborated with various department in initiatives such as student policies video projects, Lifelong learning project and the SIT Alumni Mentoring Programme
